INSTRUCTIONS
First, I told you to work in pairs. But you voted between working in pairs and working in groups of three. The majority wanted to work in groups of three, so I´m not going to refuse a democratic vote (I did it at the end of the class, but it was not correct). So, you must work in groups of three.
You must hand in this project to your teacher on Friday, 23th of October.
You must make a digital album about the most important pieces of Art during
the transformation of the Ancien Régime, the French Revolution and the
Napoleonic Empire.
You must make a Power Point with information about the different artistic styles
including pictures and its explanation. You can find information in your book,
as well as on the Internet.
Divide your work, but you all must have a look to the final result. The Power Point must be in the same format.

When you start with an artistic style, you must introduce its main characteristics (when, where, which social group represented,
what was its purpose, its influence, etc.)
Then, you must divide each artistic style in three parts:
-
Architecture: main characteristics and main
masterpieces (introduce a picture, name of the author, year, place where we can
see it –museum or city-)
-
Sculpture: main characteristics and main
masterpieces (introduce a picture, name of the author, year, place where we can
see it –museum or city-)
-
Painting: main characteristics and main
masterpieces (introduce a picture, name of the author, year, place where we can
see it –museum or city-)
When you work on the masterpieces of Goya, you must divide his masterpieces in three periods. In each period you must say if
the following masterpieces are cartoons for tapestries, portraits, religious
paintings, prints from etchings, historical themes, prints from engraving, Black
paintings or Burgundy paintings. In each of these periods you must explain its
general characteristics.
You must include the following masterpieces:
