IT WAS AN ORGANIZATION WHERE ALL ARTISANS IN THE SAME PROFESSION JOINED.

EACH GUILD HAD ITS OWN STATUTE, WHICH ESTABLISHED MEMBERS´ RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS.
  1. What were the functions of a guild?
GUILDS CONTROLLED PRODUCTION AND DISTRIBUTED RAW MATERIALS. THEY CONTROLLED THE NUMBER OF WORKERS, AND ESTABLISHED PRICES.
  1. Could a trader work if he didn´t belong to a guild? Why?
NO, NOBODY COULD WORK IN A TRADE IF THEY DID NOT JOIN A GUILD.
